So let me rephrase… does any data consumer or any tool currently use these tags to show the name of the street? For example while routing?
SomeoneElse’s project says it uses it to “Suppress names on roadside footpaths”, so it uses the tag to not show the name?
I am looking for tags, any tags, that would give me useful walking directions, in text, that a person could follow, rather than:
As far as I can see, only straight-up name on the footway=sidewalk would do it right now?
