Would it be more visually appealing if grass and grasslands have different shades. Land use =grass mostly represents landscaped lawns whereas grassland comprises wild growing grasses. Maybe grassland can have a lighter shade
more of a rendering then tagging suggestion; but firstly it would be helpful if you mentioned about which rendered map you are talking about?
On www.openstreetmap.org alone there are 8 different maps with different rendering styles, and each OSM-based mobile app uses its own (or several of them), etc..

If you are referring to the rendering in the “standard layer” on openstreetmap.org, there is an open issue about grass, grassland, and meadow here:
It seems to have gone quiet around 2021.
On “more visually appealing”, do you have an area in mind with enough usage of both tags that the difference would be visible? There is very little grassland mapped in my area so I don’t know.
In any case as already mentioned this isn’t really a tagging question so discussion here is unlikely to lead anywhere unless it prompts you or another participant to contact one or more renderers.
