Why is this new category needed instead of being hosted as part of the existing ones?

Ghana specific mapping and info for local and mappers interested in Ghana

Is this a new space or does it already exist on other platforms? Where?

New space to replace Talk GH and other closed platforms in use.

Current volume of messages on the former platforms, if any (per week/per month)

Occasionally, few posts per week, hopefully it becomes channel with much traffic.

Is there a transition plan for the old platform to this new one? (please link or describe)

Plan to be defined but for now moderated by @Enock4seth and other active OSM contributors

I do support the request and also confirm commitment to the moderator status. I am an active mapper in Ghana and also moderate our community page on Telegram.

I am an active contributor in Ghana and one of the moderators at Talk-GH and Telegram community group.
@James_Amattey is an active member in the OSM Ghana association and moderator on OSM Ghana Telegram community group.
