Fuel station closed for some time

What if there is a gas station (amenity=fuel) closed for maintenance that may extend for months, what is the best solution? is the “access=no” tag alone considered appropriate, and are there other tags that serve the purpose better?

you can use

construction:amenity=fuel instead of amenity=fuel
this way you can keep all the information but avoid having people led to a closed place.
