Ferry 612 Komiža (Vis) - Mezuporat (Biševo) - Salbunara (Biševo) - Porat (Biševo)

Good afternoon Croatian friends,
1 day ago I created ferry line 612 & made a mistake ending up in a ferry route crossing land at Biševo - island…
Mapping source info: Ferry from Komiza to Porat (Bisevo) & Bisevo Island Ferries

I marked my mistake via below note:

I can only use ID-editor with my IPad & if I want to correct this error I have to zoom in before I can delete it… Zoomed in the system tells me I can’t delete it because it is too much zoomed in…
Can somebody help me out by deleting the unwanted ugly land crossing line ?

Sorry for the trouble I caused !

Greetings from Geoff of OSM Netherlands

Fixed in Changeset: 156482893 | OpenStreetMap (using iD). For future reference, long ways in iD can be deleted by deleting their endpoint(s) (one by one).

Now, ferry routes are not my thing so I’m not sure if a relation connecting the ports is also needed…

Thanks for the solution & tip !
ID & relations are not an effient combo…
If someone wants to perfect this route with relations that would be perfect.
If a route has a number in it’s name in the Netherlands we insert it in the name and/or ref key.
Can i add & is it appreciated to put in the ref key value 612 ?

Greets,
Geoff. OSM Netherlands

I already did, in the same changeset (and also tidied up some diacritics) – but, as I said, this is also the first ferry route that I edited  .

If somebody is interested in mapping ferry routes in Croatia this Ferry reference page is very useful. Also because you can revert it to your own native language.
I use this website for the smallest ferry ‘companies’.
If a ferry route is only open in a specific period i use the opening hours key in week mode (to make the info more universal) instead of maintaining this info on a yearly base.
And if the info is available i also add ferry name and via the vessel finder website the live position of this ferry.
The mentioned website is also useful to pinpoint the exact mooring-dock in a specific harbour.
