Extract complete city to .csv (newb question)

Hi All,

I’m first of all terribly sorry if this is answered before. I’m new to osm and there are so many tools available that I just don’t know how to start.

I live in a small town in Holland (Veldhoven) and what I want to accomplish is to create the following CSV file from a .osm file

country;City;zipcode;street; minhousnumber;maxhousenumber;GPS-long;GPS-lat

e.g.

Netherlands;Veldhoven;5502AT; hoogstraat;1;123; 5.29524;52.18958

Is this information available in the big netherlands.osm file?
How can I extract some (or better all) of this information into an .csv file.

I’ve noticed that there are more than 1 GPS coordinates available in the file, thats no problem, even better!

Kind Regards,

MauriceP

Hi MauriceP,
yes, of course. But not all addresses are stored in the OSM database, i.e. OSM data are not 100% complete.

There is a new option in osmconvert which should do the trick: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Osmconvert#Writing_CSV_Files
