Expansion of Mapbox' Missing roads editing initiative beyond USA

Our team has been mapping missing roads since May, as described here: Mapbox Organized Editing, Missing Roads

This project has been a success, and we are preparing to expand the effort beyond the US. We’re sharing notice here to ensure that mapping communities outside of America have adequate notice, consistent with the Organised Editing Guidelines.

As a further heads-up, please also post in the applicable community forum before you start mapping in that region.

Everywhere in the world beyond the US? Or just a few places - the Github link mentions only Canada, Australia, New Zealand?

It would be useful to give some indication here of which countries are affected, so that we don’t all have to click through to links that may not be relevant to where we live.

Right now main focus will be on:

  • USA
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
