Excited to apply for Google Summer of Code 2025 with OpenStreetMap!🗺️

Hi everyone! I’m Soham Dixit, a final-year Bachelor of Technology student from India. I’m applying for GSoC 2025 with OpenStreetMap for the “Photos in Every Door” project. :rocket:

Currently, I’m a Software Engineer Intern at TomTom, working with OSM data and GPS probe traces to enhance routing point accuracy in Orbis Maps. I have strong experience in Flutter, Dart, OSM data, OpenRouteService API and Google Maps SDK, which I’ve used to build location-based fullstack mobile applications. I’ve also won Smart India Hackathon 2024, 2023, and 2022, which is prestigious national level hackathon organized by Government of India, and was one of the top 24 finalist selected across India in the Singapore-India Hackathon 2023 where I collaborated with students of NTU University Singapore.

My passion for geospatial tech and open-source mapping makes this project exciting. Enhancing Every Door app with photo notes and OSM object images will make mapping more intuitive and impactful for contributors worldwide. :world_map:

I’m finalizing my GSoC proposal and would love to hear any tips and insights from the OSM community! Looking forward to collaborating.
