Hey guys,
I’m working on something that requires a conflation between OSM data and Mapillary identified objects (traffic signs etc). Before digging into it, I was wondering if someone already did something like that.
My idea is to grab data from OSM and Mapillary, combine both (excluding overlaps), and have a set of traffic signs and other stuff that I can work on. For that, I have to at least have a pair of tags between both data, such as:
regulatory--stop--g1
(Mapillary) ↔ highway=stop
(OSM)
For instance, in my research I discovered:
- Research by Meta (@asturksever): A review of Mapillary Traffic Sign Data Quality and OpenStreetMap Coverage
- Some pairs by Osmose: here and here
- Plan4Better maybe did something related?
The idea here is to not reinvent the wheel, so I appreciate if someone already did that (at least the tag comparison).
Thanks!
