Hi folks,
I’ve returned from my vacation in the Hohe Tauern in Austria. There, they basically put a sticker on every guidepost which makes the guidepost an emergency access point:
Now the big question is: Do I map it as one node with tourism=information, information=guidepost, highway=emergency_access_point & all secondary data of guidepost and emergency point, or do I create two seperate nodes close to each other, one for the guidepost, and one for the access point?
I’ve read a few threads that are similar, and there is a tendency that most people suggest two nodes, but I never found really compelling reasons for the one or other methods.
Here’s mine: I also had cases where a hiking map was on the same post as the guidepost. In this case, I have a clash of tags - both would be tourism=information, but one information=guidepost, the other information=map. That basically forced me to map two nodes.
Still, I’m curious if anyone has a compelling arument to do it differently? I mean - as far as I understand, I in principle could also for the map/guidpost clash do information=map;guidepost…
As I will do an estimated 100 or so guideposts over the next days and weeks (we did an excessive hiking vacation ), I’d appreciate some feedback before I have to correct them all later…
Thanks!
