Duplicate nodes galore. How to merge building walls corners

If someone has a skill to merge overlying building corners and wall nodes in a mechanical way, here’s your chance.

Seemingly a mapper did some kind of import job 4 years ago in Furci, Italy with many many overlying nodes, the counter somewhere involving 450 buildings a 3K+ nodes without connection as the result. 5 buildings and I’m a wreck. With my widgyboard mouse in ID it will be hours and 3 coffees plus a double doze of prozac afterwards.

OK, the brothers aren’t in, so made a call to Sister Sledge who gave me a big A hammer. Loaded the area into JOSM, hit Shift+V, selected the error in the Validation Results panel and hit the ‘Fix this selected issue’ button and we’re done, only 614 nodes reduced to 312, then returned the hammer with a great thank you. With this yhe fun started… buildings on roads, buildings in buildings, but those just totaled 11. Piece of cake. Furci is good for the remaining years in this decade.

(The prozac remained in the meds cabinet)
