It took two weeks for the call for participation to be posted on blog.openstreetmap.org. Is the blog short staffed?

The OSM Blog entries are often written by the Communication Working Group. Like many things in OSM, there are often not enough people, and are always open to new member. See the βJoin Usβ section.
The SotM WG sent the text of the blog post to the CWG on 16th March, and it was published on the 20th. So erm, 4 days, not 14 days.
