The Minnesota DNR is closing a large public park and returning it to the Upper Sioux Community. Now that the park is closed and no longer “owned” by the state, there will no longer be public access to the park. All buildings, campgrounds, and trails will be closed.
Is the proper way to handle this just to delete the data that is part of the now closed park?
OpenStreetMap Maps what’s on the ground so only delete data if for example a building is demolished.
You can use an access tag to indicate that. Likely you should tag the ways in the park with something like access=private or maybe permissive. If there is a fence with gates you can draw the fence and add gates with the same acces key.
