I would propose the following collage to illustrate up-front the variety of highway=path on the wiki page.
To seek consensus, I kept the wood path we know for ages, and put a photo of mine of a path tagged sac_scale=T2 / mountain_hiking in OSM.
This last image, while not being exactly a sunday afternoon stroll, doesn’t open the debate about trail_visibility. I’ve delibaretely hidden by-passes and highligted the path in Gimp to improve the image readibility.
