Bulgaria - Fix intersecting buildings

Hello Bulgarian OSM community,

I would like to announce a new MapRoulette challenge: Bulgaria - Fix intersecting buildings: MapRoulette!
We’ve identified buildings on OSM that are intersecting with the outlines of other buildings.

Why fix intersecting buildings?
Addressing intersecting buildings is important for improving OpenStreetMap’s accuracy and usability.
These inconsistencies can make maps appear cluttered and confusing, hindering their effectiveness for both humans and machines. By correcting these issues, we ensure that the map accurately reflects the real-world layout.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via this forum or other channels if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Cas & Salim

I fixed about 10% of the “issues” and found that most of them require minimal movement of one node. It seems some mappers don’t like buildings to share nodes, so they try to keep a tiny gap in between. Sometimes however it’s not a tiny gap but a tiny overlap, and these are most of the tasks listed. Maybe you could run the search for overlapping buildings again, but with a minimum overlap (say 1 m) below which it is not considered an issue and won’t appear in the task list? In this way we could more quickly fix the few major ones.

I won’t work on this task until the “tiny” overlaps are filtered out.
