The Walter Taylor Bridge in Brisbane is closing for maintenance tonight from 9pm and expected to open at months end.
The Brisbane City Council has not give timely advice regarding this and as it is a major bridge is likely to cause significant disruption.
Should the OSM be updated to reflect the temporary change and is there someone knowledgeable enough to add the correct tags as I am unfamiliar with this mapping.
you could add
access:conditional=no @ (2024 Sep 13 21:00-2024 Sep 30 24:00)
and check whether there are some additional ‘foot=yes’, … which need to be handled like that as well
… and hope that routing engines will update their data base ASAP
Usually we only close things for 6 months, but yeah, may be a good idea?
1000 different relations crossing it though, so I also don’t want to touch it!
I decided to add the conditional access tag and extended the note info. The nearby Jack Pesch Bridge will remain open for cyclists and pedestrians so little disruption for them.
I left all the relations alone as don’t have info on how they will be affected or on detours but the bridge itself is closed to all traffic.
Thanks for info.
(apologies for offtopic but) only 9 here; be thankful you’re not editing in Dublin
