Bing/satellite imagery acquisition

Hi,

Let’s say I am going to get a satellite image taken for an area. How do I ensure that the image ends up in Bing for everybody’s use? Anybody knows what the general procedure for that? (certain government agencies might be interested in that process as a way to use and share the images to the public without having to setup resources to host them, hopefully).

Thanks.

If you want to know whether Bing is able and willing to publish your satellite image, why nor contact them ans ask? Be sure to give also enough information about origin and licence information about your material.

Or ask the guys from http://mapbox.com … reading their blog you can see that they are dealing with satellite images and OSM data each day.

As far as I know there is no standard way how to publish satellite or aireal images in a very easy way.

I found only http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/MapWarper … and see http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Aerial_imagery in general.
