Hello OpenStreetMap Community,
The Engineering Working Group (EWG) is thrilled to announce the names of the jurors who have been carefully selected over the past two months through a rigorous process of interviews and evaluations. These outstanding individuals have graciously volunteered their time and expertise to serve as jurors for the upcoming OpenStreetMap technical Microgrants program.
The selected jurors are:
- Nelson Mwova
- Ilya Zverev
- Jennings Anderson
- Martin Raifer
- Ramya Ragupathy
These jurors bring a wealth of knowledge, technical expertise, and deep understanding of the OpenStreetMap ecosystem and related domains. In forming this committee, we prioritized diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and approaches to ensure a well-rounded evaluation process for your ideas and projects.
The jurors will play a critical role in reviewing and scoring submissions for the microgrants program. Their work will help identify innovative solutions, tools, or initiatives that align with the goals of OpenStreetMap. Rest assured that each juror has been thoroughly vetted to ensure transparency, fairness, and integrity in the selection process.
Adding to the above, one member of the Engineering Working Group (EWG) will oversee the jurors’ activities to maintain alignment with OpenStreetMap’s standards and objectives.
We will soon release further details about the microgrants program, including its budget, timeline, and submission guidelines. This will allow community members to start brainstorming and presenting their ideas to enhance OpenStreetMap.
If you have any feedback or questions about this process or the program, please feel free to reach out to me directly—I am more than happy to assist.
Best Regards,
Salim Baidoun & Mikel Maron
