An 18-sided fence sports pitch

Users do their best but not using multipolygons (and relations)

I’ve now used the shift+P function in JOSM to create picture perfect inside and outside parallels of ways lastly a primary road cutting through a forest splitting latter in 2. Quite a few equestrian rings creating a fence just pixels outside. A true boon in functionality.

The key fenced=* was un- deprecated in the Wiki two months ago.

Whilst strictly speaking the tag is in use, that edit did remove some useful text. I’ve suggested on their talk page that they comment here.

Ah, thanks for pointing this out. Good to know.

I can’t see any useful text that was removed in this edit. What do you mean? Compare discussion Talk:Key:fenced - OpenStreetMap Wiki and the link it contains. Feel free to add back useful information that may have been lost.

I was thinking about the changes here, including:

Once upon a time there were no barrier tags, because nobody had invented them yet. In that time the only way to map a fence in Openstreetmap was with {{Tag|fenced||yes}}. Almost all fences mapped since the invention of {{Tag|barrier|fence}} are (re)mapped using that new tag.

JOSM still is complaining about fenced=yes. I raised a ticket.
