When links to forum discussions are shared on social networks, link handlers try to get some image from linked page to illustrate link. It usualy ends up getting profile image of some user member of discussion.
It is advisable to put OSM log in forum header so that iamge would be picked up instead.
If that is not feasible, at lest Open Graph meta tag og:image should be added in HTML header. That would also offer specific image.
