A quick hello from Qld, Aus. (New Forum Member & New OsGeo Oceania Member)

Good morning.

I will be brief and to the point. My pen name is xuid0 which yes refers to userid 0 being root in Linux based systems. I recently needed a new alias for another online community to provide a little privacy instead of using my real name etc. (For sake of being able to understand the context its https://grapheneos.org.)

I’m from Qld, Australia and recently was approved to join OsGeo Oceania to contribute to OSM as a team of volunteers with a shared goal of improving OSM. I’m very happy to be here and i look forward to working with you all.

If anyone is following this thread i have updated: user page on Wikipedia.org and My GitHub: xuid0’s GitHub. Why i did this was to distance myself from GrapheneOS project and focus on OpenStreetMap & OsGeo Oceania. I don’t feel it necessary to list my reasons other than I got an proper email from OsGeo Oceania and I’m on a public register that made me feel welcomed and apart of a team. Thank you :slight_smile:
