It seems you are filtering on bicycle = designated and railway = abandoned? This could explain why the most well known rail trail in Paris France is not rendered. On this trail, there a bicycle path and a foot path next to each other. The tag railway = abandoned is attached to the foot path only.
Since I’m also looking for railtrail tags on ways, my proposal would be to attach a railtrail=yes to the bike trail. Then it would clearly be marked as a railtrail, without it showing up as a separate abandoned railway track on railway maps…
I did not know this tag existed, I never saw it before.
There aren’t many, and they seem to be in a couple of regions, but there are some.
railtrail=yes is mostly used in Australia it seems. Anyway, I applied to a case I know in Paris
