There are two golf courses in Castle Rock Colorado. Open Street Map has both of them named Castle Pines Golf Club. Obviously that is wrong. The one at 6400 Country Club Drive should be named The Country Club at Castle Pines. A simple Google search of the address will show you the name. How can this be corrected on Open Street Map?
Hi and welcome to OSM
We are not allowed to use Google as a source of information because their license is not compatible with OSM.
You can edit informations in OSM by clicking on the edit button on top left on OSM.org .
If you edit the name based on having been in the area a lot before, your changeset source will be local knowledge, or you can use survey if you visit the club with intention to collect mapping information!

What about the website of the golf course? Their address is shown on the website. When looking up that address on OSM, it shows the wrong name for the golf course.
This should say The County Club at Castle Pines. Per the information on the website for the golf course, the address shown is for this golf course. I fixed the name in the information on the left, but the map shows the wrong name.
Yes, information from the golf course’s own website is fine, as long as the facts on the ground don’t contradict it. The others were reacting to you saying you got the information by searching “Google”. You can certainly use Google Search to find the official website, but you can’t copy information from Google Maps.
