Hi,
could anybody tell me how to correct a bug in the map which is used by the Specialized App named “Mission Control”? They use OSM. I wrote to Specialized and to Scout GPS but they don’t do anything about it. The problem is that a road in Zirndorf, Germany, which is named Walter-Gropius-Weg, is located in Treuchtlingen instead of Zirndorf - which is wrong.
Any hint will be welcome.
Thanks
Achim
According to osm.org, there is a Walter-Gropius-Weg in Zirndorf: http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/119288531
This is because the road falls within the boundary of Zirndorf: http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/3351257#map=14/49.4336/10.9275
Via Nominatim you can see how the address is resolved: http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/details.php?place_id=91934265
If this information is correct, there is little that the OpenStreetMap community can do. It is up to third party data consumers to process this information correctly.
Hello Achim,
what is your source that there is a Walter-Gropius-Weg in Treuchtlingen??
Is that the result of your used app?
