Hello everyone, I’m Daniele Scruzzi, an independent developer from Italy, and I created WITP / Where Is The Parking, an iOS app created to help drivers find parking more easily. The app uses map data, including those from OpenStreetMap, along with computer vision and artificial intelligence-based analyses to identify parking areas and estimate where you might be most likely to find a free place. I am developing the project independently and constantly improving it. I would really like to know what the OpenStreetMap community thinks, in particular regarding the use of OSM data and possible improvements. We are working on it, for now we have noticed that on iPhone it works much faster than Android

Which OSM tags are you evaluating? Only amenity=parking or also Street parking? (Don’t have iOS so I couldn’t check myself.)

It would be awesome if you could give back to OSM by providing data about missing parkings. I.e. generate lists of places where you detected parkings, but there’s none in OSM. Maybe rank them by m² or number of users.

Are you happy with the OSM data or where would you like to see improvements? More capacity tagging? More parking_spaces? site relation for parking_entrance?
