Wildlife Conservation border's validity

I want to trace (inside QGIS) some of the wildlife conservations and national parks in Indonesia based on the borderline provided by the OSM. But I wonder where the OSM gets these borders in the first place, does it match the official data by the local government? On some occasions, I can’t access better data from the local government, so OSM is the best I can get. But I need to recheck the validity.
