From their website it seems they offer expert opinions (valuation of car) to get higher payout from insurance companies.

Yes, that makes sense to me. The ones that actually work for the insurance company would be called an “insurance adjuster”.

If I read “vehicle appraiser”, I would expect someone that tells me how much I should sell my car for. Maybe it’s different in OSM English though!
