Where can I find out more about what OSM uses Piwik Analytics for?

Hi does any one know where I can find out more about how OSM uses the data it collects from Piwik Analytics on the main mapping page?

Well, I was curious about this, too, so I asked on IRC.

I was told that the Piwik instance exists for measuring the number of people visiting the page and the signin pages, but the data isn’t publicly available.

I don’t know, but probably because Piwik reports are non-public by default, so publishing requires active effort.

If you are interested in that data, you could ask the OSMF to publish it.

Seems a bit strange seeing as this is a community based project. Very curious.
