when searching by coordinates on edit mode, why no map pin?
I need to add POI’s by coordinates search but there are no map marker when searching. Please implement coordinates search map markers. Amateurish design.
Because nobody got to implement it…

Please word your suggestion and/or questions differently. Nearly all of us are here in their free time and would like to be treated with respect.
Worse still, that wasn’t present when I composed my reply — the post was edited later.
For what it’s worth, the main problem with implementation is that iD does not even have a concept of pin, nor a solution when it should disappear. Or what an alternative could be.
Amaterish issue description. You don’t mention the editor.
Amateurish research. As mentioned by @Duja, a ticket exists for that.
And probably amateurish workflow. If what you need is to add a node at a specific position, you don’t even need a pin. Help/Action/AddNode – JOSM
For iD-editor, I had been wondering about that too.
As OSMF pays people to maintain it, it could be a great investment.
You don’t know how to spell, you don’t know how to reply, you don’t know how to compose a sentence, why should we trust you that you know how to fix it?
But you don’t seem to understand that they’re many editors to edit OpenStreetMap data.
I’ve deleted 3 replies that added no value.

I expect that review alone will take longer, though it is not changing much.
In general pull request improving iD are welcome, though I am not convinced that we need this feature.
But it it takes 10 minutes to implement, then it would be possible how it works with such change after it gets implemented. Maybe it will be convincing?
U dont wanna be able to add poi’s with a simple coordinates search?
U wanna keep guessing where to place poi’s inside a forest where u cant see anything?
This is a quality of life update my brother from another mother.
I am quite confused about usage cases where you world search for arbitrary location and know that poi is at specific coordinate rather than know it’s location to other objects - mapped in osm or visible on aerial
(Except imports but it is not really supported use for iD)
EvanCarroll stated a quite reasonable use case on #4218, in a nutshell:
I want to edit a polygon which is complex and disorienting. There is no good sat imagery on it. I have geocoded pictures I’ve uploaded to the wikimedia commons.
I have used geocoded pictures as source myself, so an ability to place a point on the map would come handy. Still, knowing that the coordinate is located in the center of the map viewport provided a workaround. But it’s not nice and intuitive indeed.
Ways easier is to use JOSM and the PicLayer. Use each editor for want it can do efficiently. Here it would be still inefficient.
Another workaround with ID is to publish the georeferenced picture on https://www.mapwarper.net/ (or publish locally) and add it as background layer.
