Organic Maps is accurate so far as the GPS location is concerned. But the aerial view over here is not exactly as it ought to be. It’s just showing up the roads and lanes in a gross manner. I would like to know what kind of map organic maps is using as the base map.
are you asking about aerial view (photos taken from plane) or base map (symbolic representation of roads, buildings, rivers, shops etc)?
I’m talking about the base map. Though this location is more or less accurate, yet it doesn’t really show the exact aerial view of the area.
What is actually mapped in this area in OpenStreetMap? If there are no street names or points of interest in the database, it is possible there is no detail for any app to show. What does the default map on osm.org look like for this area?
what you expect to see? Some missing data not mapped yet on OpenStreetMap or photos of terrain taken from air?
OM takes “our” data and turns it into “their” map. If “we” don’t have data for any given place “they” can’t show anything. Same goes for precision. If a place isn’t well mapped they can’t render nice maps.
There’s a definite issue somewhere if both of those screenshots are of the same location!

I would suggest providing a link to the location (simply what is in the address bar of openstreetmap.org when you are zoomed to that location), while we are fairly good at guessing where a place is, as you complaint notes, there is essentially no information in that location.

I had to crop it from my mobile screen, so adjusting it was a bit difficult for me.
Are you looking for a map or aerial photography?

AFAIK Organic Maps has maps but no aerial imagery
If you look at the circled portion in this screenshot, the circled portion doesn’t exist, because these are the lanes adjacent to my house. An aerial imagery would make it clearer. Google Earth and bing satellite maps are not opening on my laptop. And the aerial imagery that I provided wouldn’t zoom closer than that. Otherwise you would have seen that the circled portion doesn’t exist.
I might use osm tracker to show it, but i don’t know how to export the track from the app straight onto the main osm database.
Not if you want a correct answer to your question and pointers to how the situation could be improved.

Google maps provide an aerial imagery. So does bing. How can we provide an aerial imagery of a particular place ??
So you, or another mapper, would need to edit OpenStreetMap so that the streets better match reality.
