I am working with ArcMap from ESRI and want make some routing analysis. For this I need road-data. I am a student so the data shall be free. I still tried to use the osm data from http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/ but this data is corrupt. There are many nodes missing. Some streets are crossing, but the node is incorrect or missing.
I found a bachelor-thesis (http://www2.hs-karlsruhe.de/servlet/PB/menu/1089482/index.html) but this isnt available for ArcGIS 10 yet.
So I am looking for alternative data which…
… includes all traversable raods (motorway, primary, secondary, residential, think all above path)
… covers whole germany or at least nordrhein-westfalen plus about 30km behind its boundaries
… is completely routable
