To be fair, they have said elsewhere that the reason the update less frequently is due to the extremely resource-intensive nature of their map production. It’s entirely their choice whether they want to produce a “very nice map” less frequently or a “less nice map” more often.
If you want a more-frequently-updated map, either use a different one or create your own
