Simon is suggesting 10x to 100x more total votes be required for a deprecation vote to be considered valid, not a 10x to 100x increase in the approval percentage. Currently a new tag can be approved with just 8 votes in favor (if there are zero no votes). This is quite a low number given there are many thousands of active mappers and who knows how many data consumers. I’d say a higher threshold for a deprecation vote would be reasonable. Also for an approval vote to be honest.
