"Visit Topic" in emailed links sometimes don't link to the correct post

Example: I got mailed Minh’s post that starts “Are we talking about the data”. The “Visit Topic” link in the email is https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/slash-separated-native-american-names/6705/24 which when I click it takes me to “Good discussion - thank you!” from Richard. After hunting around I can find Minh’s post at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/multiple-delimited-names-in-the-name-tag/6803/6.

Any reason why the emailed link does not work?

I imagine that is because I moved that post to a new topic in General talk. I guess Discourse doesn’t create redirects in that case which is a bit frustrating.

Thanks - I may be getting confused, but I thought I’d seen previously split topics link OK from email? Maybe not.
