User deleting all the houses

I found a user who is deleting almost all the buildings in the city of portoviejo in Ecuador. What do you guys think should we do anything?

For now I commented on Changeset: 187149454 | OpenStreetMap

You can also contact Data Working Group - OpenStreetMap Wiki for help (I have not done it).

And/or revert them if it is a clear vandalism.

I also send them PM as changeset comment notification remain unfixed for now (though AFAIK there is some recent work to fix them! Thanks for that!)

Der Mapper hat anscheinend eine starke Beziehung zu dem Ort. Vielleicht stört ihn eine (relativ) schlechte Lagequalität der Gebäude und zeichnet die später neu. Jedenfalls mappt er an anderer Stelle in Micromapping-Auflösung neu (z.B. Way: 746828110 | OpenStreetMap ) oder ergänzt Namen, die man eigentlich nur als Local kennen würde (z.B. Way: ‪Portal del Valle‬ (‪1546814593‬) | OpenStreetMap )
Man kann Ihn trotzdem darauf hinweisen, dass man die Gebäude auch einfach nur geometrisch verbessern kann und nicht gleich ganz löschen sollte…

also, deleting building geometries due terrible quality may be fine (I did it in some cases)

but it should be clearly mentioned in changeset comment why they are being deleted, and it should take into account what others prefer as a mapping strategy
