Two Nature Reserves that I have mapped have links to descriptive web pages in their tags. The URLs have changed and are now too long for the tag field.
Does OSM have a built in URL shortener? If not, is one particular service preferred?
Only for the map view we have short URLs.

Is the tag-value really limited?
In JOSM I can put a very long string in there.
I don’t think it’s a good idea to use shortened URLs in tags.
I agree that shortened URLs are not a good idea if they can be avoided.
I am using also using JOSM so will try again in case it was operator error!
