Just a note that I have been surveying (in person) a number of bike parking locations in Australia, mostly Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, and Sydney recently, using the I Rode Here tool – and will be uploading the results in small batches in the coming days.
Mostly new racks and corrections to existing nodes (eg number of bikes stored). Deletion requests I’m manually adding as notes on by one, for now.
All new and verified racks I have photos of from in-person survey, and just flagging for the community ahead of time.
Good point, there were just a number of locations where the whole area was redeveloped with (eg) three new sets of 10 hoops replacing a different set of (eg) 4 hoops 30m away. Didn’t want to appear to be a new account deleting old nodes in batches. I’ll likely just note the first few, then delete the rest in a second pass manually. This was more a courtesy note ahead of doing that. Appreciate the feedback.
