I an new to OSM and signed up to correct a small error. When out walking, I noticed that the start of a track was shown in the wrong place on the map. So I edited the map to move it to the correct point, about 200 m up the road. When I saved this edit, I saw that it had created an odd extra bit of road, shown below. Try as I might, it won’t let me edit this out.
Any idea how I get rid of this, or just delete my original edit?

You can make the correction and submit it again, just a few second fix. No need to undo anything.
…If want to know how to “undo” then you need to install the JOSM editor and install the reverter plugin and insert the changeset ID you want to revert plugin which loads the previous state into the editor, then you can submit the new change.
I took a look at your edit. I see the minor mistake but you are more than welcome to make a correction and submit it. Cheers
Hi markmatfield, welcome to OSM and the forum.
When you take a close look at the track stub you created, you will note that it is not a stub but a loop, made by the shifting of the connection point. Pull one of the white nodes down with the mouse to see it more clear:
No need to revert the change you made. Just catch the 2 white nodes of the loop with the mouse and merge them with the grey node of the branch (left) and that’s it.
