it is not apparent how POI on the map are updated (for example which company is in some house). I can add a note Notes - OpenStreetMap Wiki as a new user, but it seems impossible to evaluate if/when it will be addressed, which may be demotivating, not transparent. I may also be interested if i can become someone to add/update POI name to the map or propose such update in aim to solve someone else’s note.

openstreetmap . org/fixthemap (sorry i can not post more than 3 links as a new user) page fails to clear how to edit, it shows a button to start mapping, but that just links to a map with no explanation. Can anyone improve this, for example linking directly to a paragraph with instructions?
I suspect that on the map, note adding window, it is not clarified which language should be used. So someone is using english, someone different language (one of a map country). Maybe there could be some function/button to translate the note to a current language.
I have not noticed this ID or not associated it with editing POI of the map.
I have not expected it near the logo, but seeing it now, it is pretty good location. Wiki may be lacking easy to find information/link on a places which I have mentioned.

Despite your initial setbacks, I hope you will persist, and have an enjoyable and productive time improving the Map. I feel sure people and routeing engines will be glad of your contributions.
You hit the Notes problem early!
People have tried to improve it, e.g, apropos your point 1), to send an alert to a Mapper if someone puts a Note on a POI they created or edited (that contribution is some way into the conversation), and I even tried to initiate a conversation with the technical people on Github (linked in the first post of the conversation) by means of a ‘strawman’ design; it was met with an initial misunderstanding and then silence. No doubt, something will be done about it … eventually.
