Unable to change username

Hi,

I have tried to change my username to “Johand”. However it failes with the error “already in use”.

However, when I go to https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Johand it says there is no account by that username.

Is it possible the username is somehow reserved, or linked to a deleted account?
If so, do you think it is possible to release that username so I can change my username from “Johand199” to “Johand”?

This user name was used from 11.03.10 to 02.04.18 and therefore can’t be reused. Well JohanD.
