(Un)incorporated community in Berrien County Georgia

So I’ve been contacted by a person living in Georgia who claims that he created a community 54 years ago in the middle of Berrien County, GA. He sent me proof in an official county document which recognized the community 2 years ago. I have no idea how to handle this, what common mapping practice is for something like this, or anything much else regarding it. I attached what he sent me.

I took the liberty of corresponding with the person directly. Seems ernest but a bit clueless about map data, etc. But the documentation seemed reasonable so I have made edits based on the information he provided.

Since there’s very little software support for boundary=place relations, we could stick a place=hamlet node somewhere along the main road between the entrance signs, then add it to the boundary relation as a label member.

There’s also enough information in the county resolution to map the community and its boundary in OpenHistoricalMap, which might be of interest to the correspondent.

I wondered about that when I created the relation. I’ve create the place=hamlet node and added it to the relation.
