When I view a map I’ve created on mobile, tapping the location button causes a small arrow to appear at my current location. However, the map view does not adjust to “find” that location. I have to manually zoom out and search for it.
How do I get the map to automatically center on the user’s location? Or is this a bug?
What technology did you use to create the map on mobile (and what sort of mobile is it on - Android, iOS, something else)?
I created the map on desktop, and am viewing it in a Firefox browser on a phone running Android.
On desktop the “locate” button seems to do nothing, even though my computer indicates that the site is pulling my current location data. On mobile, tapping the location button gets a small indicator to appear, but the map doesn’t adjust to center on that indicator.
Is this perhaps a question about uMap?

Might you have blocked locations services?
My phone has location services on at least as far as I can tell. Location works in all other apps I am using.
After a few tests, it works (center the map on current location) if the map doesn’t show my location when I hit the button, and not too much zoomed in. Not sure if this is the intended behaviour.
You check umap issues (this one is related "Center map on your location" doesn't work · Issue #623 · umap-project/umap · GitHub) and if necessary create a new one.

Thank you for the link to the related issue! In that thread the problem seemed to be whether or not someone was “in https.” Is there a setting that automatically enables this for viewers? I assumed it was the default but maybe not.
