Hello,
Is there a user friendly tool to track all user edits within a specific area? I believe this can help in quickly detecting vandalism and errors. Osmdiff and whodidit are great but not very user-friendly

You can create a RSS feed showing with the changes in a bounding box a couple of different ways. One is with Latest OpenStreetMap Edits per Tile another is with WHODIDIT: OpenStreetMap Changeset Analyzer
Going to whodidit and making queries all the time would be a pain. But you can click on the “get rss link” button and drop that into a RSS news reader then have that reader tell you when something has changed in the area of interest. I have my RSS reader set to query several times a day so it isn’t too long from when a change set is made to when I am notified.
I have RSS feeds setup for the areas I am most interested in and monitor the change sets that occur in them. I suspect that a lot of other mappers do the same to see when changes in their own home towns, etc. occur and if they agree with them.

https://osmcha.org/ can also be used for this job.

It took me a little while to find this is OSMCha - I expected it to be somewhere around the Save / Reset / Apply option, and the little grey icon doesn’t really stand out. Here is a screenshot with the RSS icon circled, in case it helps anyone else.
Are whodidit feeds working for other people? Mine stopped sending anything new a few months back, and my feed reader says there is an XML error.
