As a follow up to address import I made validation page for Toronto street names, and a layer for iD/JOSM.
Street-names overlay — Toronto Street Names — Reference Layer for OSM Editors
A reference layer of Toronto street centrelines labelled with their full legal names from the City’s Toronto Centreline (TCL) open data, in two flavours:
- Vector (MVT) for iD — click a street to see its name and road class.
- Raster text-on-path (PNG) for JOSM — names drawn along the centrelines, native and sharp up to z19.
Name-comparison report — Toronto streets vs OSM
A daily point-in-time comparison of TCL vs OSM named streets, bucketed into Missing in OSM / Extra in OSM /
Matched — handy for spotting unnamed or mis-named streets.
Both refresh daily from the City dataset (© City of Toronto, Open Government Licence – Toronto).
