It does not make sense to add them to OSM. Any software drawing a map can easily add such information if it is desired. A crowdsourcing project is not required to find out where the Equator is

We can consider your statements as demagogy Frederik. 49th parallel isn’t North pole or South pole you just removed. Even Wikipedia links are all different:

Я ни разу вас не цитировал, вы не можете утверждать, что я вам что-то приписывал а в первом случае я вообще пытался выяснить почему вы считаете, что отсутствие в осм объекта для тэга из викидаты - аргумент для вноса. Впрочем, какая разница что я имел ввиду, если человек пытается доказать что он никогда не говорил того, чего ему никто не приписывал.

Сейчас, конечно, я опять, по мнению d1g, буду направ. И скорее всего в том, чего я и не пытался делать

Too bad neither of you is able to argument speech other than to repeatedly chant “we don’t need it” or “software could do that”.

My opinion - we do not need in OSM: equator, poles, polar circles, tropics and any other meridians, circles of latitude or points which coordinates are defined as constants and does not represent either landscape feature or any kind of administrative/political/e.t.c. border.
We do not need in OSM time zones in seas as well.

Reason: any kind of map task which may use geometry of such objects - may use coordinates from definition as well.

Наносить на карту координатную сетку - так это же чистая обязанность рендера. Причем такую, какую он пожелает - градусную, километровую, через каждые 10 градусов или через 10 секунд. И он имеет возможность сделать это самостоятельно, даже если и базы объектов никакой воще не будет.
