Ја прочитав последната статија на it.com.mk во врска со OpenStreetMap и се решив и јас малку да помогнам.Јас до сега сум работел на Google Map Maker и Navteq Маp Reporter и колку толку сум запознаен со овие работи.Меѓутоа забележав дека на оваа страна сателитските мапи не се дирекно закачени на страната туку е потребно ние да ги активираме од некој извор.Се обидов и најдов неколку места каде отприлика пишува што како се прави но никако не успевам да си активирам Background слика од Штип за да можам да мапирам.Може ли да ми објасни некој како можам тоа да го направам?Го пронајдов овој линк http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=15122 и се обидов ова да го направам(има и фајл за Штип) но пак не ми успеа.Како можам да го направам ова со цел да можам да почнам да мапирам?

I wrote the message on Macedonian but now I will edit it and write it on English so meaby I will get faster answer.I saw the article on www.it.com.mk(http://it.com.mk/microsoft-k-e-im-konkurira-na-google-maps-so-slobodnite-mapi-na-openstreetmap/) and I want to help map Macedonia on OpenStreetMap.I have experience with Google Map Maker and Navteq Map Reporter.I registered on Open Street Map and I tried to map Shtip but I saw that I need Background image so I can see what am I adding.I tried to switch between few choices but none of them had Shtip on Map.I saw this http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=15122 and I saw that there is image background data of Stip and I tried to do as the link was saying but I didn’t make it.Can someone tell me how to activate or find Background satelite data or something that I need to start maping?I tried few times to use the last link but the data simply didn’t apear.What should I do,any advices?

First of all wish editor do you use? Flash editor on web page(Potlach2), Java openstreetmap editor(JOSM), Merkaartor, or something else?
I looked the coverage map on http://osm-hr.org/ and see that “Штип, Makedonija” doesn’t have Bing satellite imagery available, and has only some US topo 1:50000 maps coverage, and also no Orbview-3 black&white satellite imagery coverage.
For now no satellite imagery is available for that area.
Did you try to load US topo maps and fail? Maybe you tried when server was down?
You’ll have to do ground work using Gps device or smartphone, walking papers, or some other means to collect local data.
If you need any help just ask. Here on forum, or over IRC if you use it.
