The data was already removed from OSM, now it’s up to the app you’re using, maps.me, to update their data. Please, stop creating duplicate posts here, it’s pointless.
I just installed maps.me, checked the FAQ, and you literally have the answer to your question right there:
The current data version is 251020, meaning the OSM data is from 20 October 2025. Just be patient for the next release.

As people in your other threads have already told you, apps using OSM data only update that data every so often. Maps.me, Organic Maps, or CoMaps (I’m not sure which one you’re using) are each updated roughly once a month. You will need to wait for your app’s next update to see your recent changes in OSM reflected in the app.
Unfortunately this person doesn’t seem to understand explanations.
I am out of ideas at this point ![]()

Moderator note: The user has been silenced for 1 month (end of this year) to first read and understand the answers to the posts about the same problem. The user will not be able to post in this forum until the end of the year.
I suspect their emails to the DWG will pick up from here - we had managed to persuade them to post in the forum in the hope that someone in would be able to reply in their own language.
Alas communication has not occurred - I too am out of ideas.
From the notes, it seems Sara is actually on Organic Maps, not maps.me. In any case, going to the FAQ would have also answered her questions. And from comparing the data with my edits it looks like the data is indeed less than a month old. Communication didn’t work, let’s just hope Sara is patient enough to wait for the next data update.
I’m going to try something here. Using @Flynn’s reply as a starting point:
Apps using OpenStreetMap data only update their copy of that data every so often. MapsMe, OrganicMaps, or CoMaps are each updated roughly once a month. You will need to wait for your app’s next update to see your recent changes in OpenStreetMap reflected in the app.
That’s Google Translate. I only speak English and bad English. Has to be in a separate reply to get the direction right.
As an aside, these apps that apply updates to OSM but don’t reflect the changes for weeks are dangerous tools. I can see a frustrated user, not understanding why a small change isn’t showing up, trying progressively larger changes, to the point of deleting a whole city, in an effort to see if the app is actually doing anything. These apps feel like minimal effort attempts to grab mindshare / ad revenue.
Organic Map (and CoMaps) do immediately reflect edits made within them though. I think what happened here was that the OP left notes via the app, and notes (understandably) don’t reflect on the map immediately.
Based on the DWG correspondence and map edits I think they actually did both - edit the map, then get frustrated when the “feature did no disappear”, and then leave 1000s** of notes.
** I’m not exaggerating - I’ve hidden lots of them. I’ve just hidden another couple of hundred. Their most recent ones are based on a 26/11/2025 build of Organic Maps.
(edited to add more info)
I think they edited the map to add places. But I don’t think it is possible to remove places by editing in Organic Maps / CoMaps (screenshot is from the latter but I think this aspect is similar). The “place does not exist” option sinply generates a note. Maybe this asymmetry between addition and deletion contributed to the frustration.
True, but the DWG has received screenshots from osm.org too. Maybe this user isn’t close to a PC very often.
I am not going to suggest Vespucci.
Now that’s a disappointment, I was expecting the DWG to go full in on getting revenge.
