Ciao a tutti,
sono Gennaro, piacere di conoscervi, sono un po’ emozionato per il lancio di questo progetto, che per me sarà il primo, ma sono sicuro che con il vostro aiuto/contributo, sarà più facile iniziare questa nuova esperienza.
A brevissimo, come di consueto, partirà il Giro d’Italia 2026 e, come molti di voi avranno già immaginato, siamo qui per lanciare tre progetti di mappatura libera, relativi a tre aree attraversate dal giro:

Una cartografia accurata delle sedi e delle infrastrutture sportive è fondamentale per agevolare gli spostamenti, individuare parcheggi e servizi, e supportare sia le comunità locali sia i visitatori.
Mappe affidabili sono inoltre essenziali per garantire la sicurezza di partecipanti e spettatori e per l’intervento efficace dei servizi di emergenza.
In questo contesto, come per gli anni precedenti, il Giro d’Italia rappresenta un’importante opportunità: l’analisi ha interessato sia le strade direttamente coinvolte dalle tappe sia i percorsi limitrofi, permettendo di individuare alcune aree caratterizzate da carenze nella presenza di strade ed edifici.

Accurate mapping of sports venues and infrastructure is essential to facilitate travel to and from event locations, to help identify parking areas and services, and to support both local communities and visitors.
Reliable maps are also crucial to ensure the safety of participants and spectators, as well as to enable effective intervention by emergency services.
In this context, as in previous years, the Giro d’Italia represents an important opportunity: the analysis has focused not only on the roads directly involved in the race stages, but also on surrounding routes, allowing us to identify some areas affected by a lack of mapped roads and buildings.
