On behalf of TomTom and in collaboration with the OpenStreetMap Board. I’m delighted to announce an upcoming official OSM mapping competition taking place this July.
From 1–31 July 2026, we’re hosting the Map Cup Asia Pacific open to all countries, OSM community groups, and individual contributors across the Asia Pacific region.
Whether you are a first-time contributor, experienced mapper, validator, community leader, student, employee or retired individual, this is an opportunity to collaborate, learn, and contribute meaningfully to OpenStreetMap.
What is the objective? To bring the OpenStreetMap Asia Pacific community together in a friendly mapping challenge where collaboration meets competition plus strengthening connections, empowering contributors, and improving the completeness, accuracy, and freshness of OpenStreetMap across the region.
And what’s the recognition/prizes for Asia Pacific Map Cup 2026?
Now this is the real motivation boost!
We’re excited to recognize our outstanding contributors with prizes and community-wide recognition!
1st Place: USD 500 Travel Grant to State of the Map Asia 2026 (or cash equivalent if unable to attend)
2nd Place: USD 200
3rd Place: USD 100
Community Highlights: Rest 7 contributors from top 10 will be featured, along with special recognitions like Rising Mapper, Consistent Contributor, Outstanding Validator, and Community Champion.
Plus: Digital certificates for all participants

เป้าหมายของกิจกรรมนี้คืออะไร?
เพื่อรวมใจชาวOpenStreetMap ในภูมิภาคเอเชียแปซิฟิกให้เป็นหนึ่งเดียว ผ่านความท้าทายในการทำแผนที่อย่างเป็นมิตร ที่ซึ่ง “ความร่วมมือ” มาพบกับ “การแข่งขัน” พร้อมทั้งกระชับความสัมพันธ์ เสริมสร้างศักยภาพให้กับผู้พัฒนา และยกระดับข้อมูลบน OpenStreetMap ทั่วทั้งภูมิภาคให้มีความสมบูรณ์ แม่นยำ และทันสมัยยิ่งขึ้น
รางวัลและการเชิดชูเกียรติสำหรับ Asia Pacific Map Cup 2026 มีอะไรบ้าง?
และนี่คือแรงผลักดันชั้นดี! เราตื่นเต้นมากที่จะได้มอบรางวัลและยกย่องผู้ร่วมพัฒนาที่สร้างผลงานได้อย่างโดดเด่น ดังนี้:
รางวัลชนะเลิศอันดับ 1: ทุนการเดินทางมูลค่า 500 USD เพื่อเข้าร่วมงาน State of the Map Asia 2026 (หรือเปลี่ยนเป็นเงินสดในมูลค่าเท่ากันหากไม่สามารถเดินทางไปร่วมงานได้)
รางวัลรองชนะเลิศอันดับ 1: 200 USD
รางวัลรองชนะเลิศอันดับ 2: 100 USD
