In July 2026, TomTom has two MapRoulette challenges to share for the United States.
Up first is the United States - Potential Missing Roundabout or Circular Junction Tags challenge with 456 tasks. In this challenge, the goal is evaluate circular highway features for potential addition of junction=roundabout or junction=circular. In some cases, the location may be a candidate for the addition of highway=mini_roundabout tagging.
In the second challenge, United States - Re-modelled junction’s geometry there are 169 tasks. In this challenge, highways meet or split in a distorted, star or X-shaped pattern that might need some realignment or tag updates. There may instances of highway nodes that have been inadvertently moved or missing layer information that needs to be added. This is a new challenge and detection is not perfect; false positives might be higher than usual.
On either challenge you may encounter false positives, so feel free to mark those tasks as Already Fixed or Not an Issue as needed.
